From May to the end of August we do not make long-healing piercings (i.e. belly button, nipples, Christina, cheeks, surface piercings and microdermals outside the face).

We provide all kinds of body piercing, from classic piercing through genital piercing, microdermal piercing and surface piercing.

These tips are general and may vary depending on the type and location of the piercing. Please always follow the instructions of our piercer. You can find a more detailed breakdown of care for specific piercings in the “Care for individual types of piercings” section.

  • Our piercer will always explain to you personally how to take care of the piercing and the use of aftercare products. If you have any questions, do not be afraid to ask us, we are here for you.

  • For the care of piercings, we recommend products specifically designed for this. These can be purchased in our studio. A possible alternative is to use weak saline.

  • For about the first 2-3 weeks (depending on the type of piercing), clean the piercing twice a day.

  • After 3 weeks until complete healing, it is usually sufficient to clean the piercing once a day.

  • After 3 weeks until complete healing, it is usually sufficient to clean the piercing once a day.

  • Do not touch the jewelry with dirty hands. Do not move the jewelry in the puncture.

  • If you want to touch the piercing, wash and disinfect your hands first.

  • Be careful with the piercing; beware of accidents (dressing, towel) and unwanted pressure (headphones, sleep).

  • After 2-5 weeks (our piercer will specify according to the type of piercing), make an appointment to check and possibly shorten the jewelry.

  • In case of any problems with piercings, contact us.

Practical information, advices and experiences with piercing

The Czech law requires that a person under the age of 18 have a written confirmation that their parents or legal guardians agree with the piercing. Therefore, it is necessary that you bring a completed and signed form, otherwise we can not conduct the piercing. If you are not 18 yet, download and print this form and bring it with you completed and signed. Of course you can also take your parents with you.

Even if we can’t advise you on how to persuade your parents to allow piercing, we can talk with them about the potential risks of piercing in case that concerns about your health are the only obstacle. Anyway your parents are responsible for you, so at the end there is no other option than to respect their opinion or wait for your eighteenth birthday.

Microdermal piercing (could be called also „microdermal“ or „microdermal implant“) is a type of piercing that can be placed almost anywhere on the body due to the special shape of the jewel.

In the case of microdermals, the skin is not pierced by a needle. Instead a tool called puncher is used. A puncher is a circular scalpel with a diameter of 1,5 – 2 mm. Essentially it works like a miniature candy cutter. With it, a circle is cut into the skin and an oval base of microdermal is inserted. The pain of microdermal piercing is comparable with classical or surface piercing.

The time of healing for the different types of piercings has been described in the section „Care for different types of piercings“. Look there. By the term „completely healed“ we mean the time when the piercing channel is comletely lined with new skin.

Of course you can, but it has a lot of drawbacks.

The price of piercing conducted with our jewelry is 700 CZK. With your jewelry it’s 1000 CZK, because the jewelry must be sterilized in advance.

Putting it into alcohol etc. Is not sufficient, so it is necessary to use a special heat sterilizing device (the jewelry is exposed to a temperature of 160 °C for at least 60 minutes). For you, this means only delay. You must bring the jewelry to us, let it sterilize and come to your appointment the next day.

Anyway the jewelry you bring may be not suitable due the material, shape or length. The jewelry for the fresh piercing must be longer because of swelling and better healing. This longer jewelry is shortened to the optimal lenght after the swelling is gone.

From many years of experience we know that the healing process is fastest and least complicated when using titanium or bioplastic jewelry. We cannot be sure of the quality of jewelry you bring.

Some decorative jewelry (for example navel piercing jewelry) is made out of material that may not be suitable for strerilization and, in additon, its size or shape may cause problems during the healing process.

There are several ways to answer this (really frequented asked question). Everyone may choose the one that suits him best.

No, it doesn’t.

This does not mean that you will not feel the puncture itself. The point is that most people imagine incredible pain and then they are pleasantly surprised (at least in our piercing shop) that the experience is significantly less unpleasant than their initial expectations.

Yes, it does.

It is quite logical that you feel a needle that pierces a selected part of your body. Although this pain is not as terrible as many people imagine, we will not claim you will feel nothing. It depends very much on the piercing location.

It also depends on other factors:

Although most people perceive pain similarly, there are some who complain of tongue pain and, on the other hand, claim that they have hardly felt the nipple piercing.

It depends on pain resistance and the level of self-control. Someone will start screaming before the needle touches their skin (and not just girls), but the majority of people are ready for the piercing and can handle it without blinking an eye or just with clenched teeth.

It also depends on the piercer. An experienced piercer, such as the piercers in Hell, works with the needle quickly and sensitively, minimizing pain. An inexperienced or clumsy piercer or your friend who doesn’t mind stabbing someone with a needle often does more harm than good.

It depends on the state of health also. If you are getting piercing while tired or when sick, it can be expected that the piercing will hurt more than usual. Conversely, if you sleep well, eat, and look forward to piercing, the pain level will be much more berable for you.

Piercings can generally be divided into almost painless ones (earlobes, tongue, lingual frenum), slightly painful ones (septum, lower lip, eyebrows, undemanding cartilage – for example helix, conch), moderately painful (nostril, upper lip, navel, more demanding cartilage – for example rook, tragus, shallow genital piercings) and painful (nipples, more demanding genital piercings).

There are several ways of deadening, so let’s take a closer look.

Cooling the place with a special spray

This spray is not intended to make the skin insensitive, but to soothe pain in the muscles. In addition, its application to unprotected skin can cause burns.

Emla cream

While Emla reduces the sensitivity of the rubbed area, it only works on the skin surface and does not work under the skin. For the process of piercing the effect is almost zero. Another disadvantage is the high price of the cream. One unit costs about 700 CZK.

Deadening of the piercing site

This method is the most effective of all mentioned. It completely suppresses piercing pain at any location. However, injecting an anesthetic is even more painful than the piercing itself. In addition, anesthesia must be performed by a physician.

From the above points you can clearly see that the anesthesia of the piercing site is meaningless and that is why we do not use it in Hell. Fear of the unknown, in this case of pain, is not uncommon, and for your concern we have an understanding. We will do everything to make the piercing as pleasant as possible for you. The process of piercing is conducted quickly and sensitively with a focus to minimizing pain. And don’t forget that it is said that Piercing in Hell doesn’t hurt.

There are very few doctors who have sufficient experience with piercing. Mostly they have never tried piercing on their own body, they lack experience, a firm hand and feel during the puncture and last but not least they have no experience with practical wearing and healing of a piercing. Most doctors also often choose inappropriate jewelry. Applying piercings is an rare ocassion for doctors, while we conduct dozens of piercings a week at Hell, so we have a lot of experiences and don’t get out of practice.

Piercings in Hell are conducted by trained, experienced and legally certified piercers who have a close relationship to the piercing, they themselves have a few and know what the different piercings entail. They have extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and acupuncture, while conducting dozens of piercings a week.

Piercing gun

This technique is limited to puncturing only ears or nose. The lenght of the jewelry is only one universal, which is a problem because of swelling after the procedure.

Another serious fact is the inability to sterilize the entire gun, despite the fact that the tissue is punctured with its own jewelry (with a blunt end!). Essentially, tissue will be punctured and torn. We don’t use a piercing gun in Hell, of course.

Piercing needle

This is the classical and cleanest way. The piercing is conducted in sterile gloves with a disposable sterile cannula. Sterile jewelry is pulled through the piercing channel through this cannula. All tools, jewelry and aids are sterile. And that’s exactly how we do it in Hell. We follow the same hygiene standards and use the same sterilization equipment as in hospitals.

Diabetes and piercing doesn’t exclude each other. However, the body of diabetics is more difficult to heal and the healing process usually takes a longer time. This fact could increase the risk of infection during the healing time. Therefore, ask your doctor whether you can have a piercing or not. He knows your health state and better estimates what your body can handle and what it not optimal. For a mild level diabetes this shouldn’t be a problem. However, always consult with your doctor. Do not forget to tell us that you have diabetes in advance so we are prepared for your possible reaction.

Patients with diabetes are generally harder to heal, so do not neglect taking care of your new piercing and pay close attention to it. In case of any healing problems, please feel free to contact us.

Especially after tongue piercing do not neglect regular food intake, although it may not be very pleasant. Eat porridge (yoghurt, porridge, mashed fruit).

Let’s start from the end. The last thing is to ensure the appropriate trade license and the necessary formalities for obtaining it, because it is necessary to have tied trade license. However, these are the formalities (only) necessary for a person to be officially employed. But this doesn’t make you a proper piercer. A piercer is made through experience. First experience, how to perform the piercing correctly (correctly measure and pierce), and second, experience with how to minimize the risk of possible complications and last but not least, experience with dealing with these complications.

This means that it is necessary to learn the basic principles associated with piercing. It is necessary to know (both theoretical and personal experience) how the body reacts or can react to variety of piercings, when the piercing can and cannot be conducted and with what risks. It is also necessary to know the specifics of different types of jewelry (shapes and materials) used, etc. Know as much about your field as possible. The fact that the piercer is confident in working with the needle is taken for granted, as is the fact that he must be able to communicate with customers, consult their wishes, and possibly correct them properly.

It is important to answer the question whether you want to make a living by piercing or not. If so, think about whether you are sufficiently responsible, focused, careful, and empathetic for this work, because the piercer’s work is not as simple and relaxed as it may seem. It is important to have a deep personal relationship with the piercing, or else this work will cease to entertain and satisfy you over time.

If you still feel that this profession is right for you, you need to get practice because practice is crucial for piercers. Before practicing on yourself or your acquaintances, consider whether you trust your skills and knowledge enough to dare to pierce anything other than your ear. Piercing is not only about drawing two dots and puncture them quickly and accurately, but also to be sure that everything was done with minimal health risks.

If you don’t want to make a living with piercing, everything about trusting your own skills and knowledge still stands.

The passing of basic knowledge, tips and tricks in the form of a course (in preparation) is only the beginning of a long journey and is only a theory. Getting experience is up to you.

In the period from May to August we do not recommend to conduct piercings that heal for a long time or that are complicated to heal. These are navel piercing, nipple piercing, cheeks piercing, christina piercing, off-face microdermals and surface piercing. We recommend postponing these piercings in autumn.

If you feel unwell or even ill, please reschedule your appointment via phone. We will not be angry with you for being sick and canceling your appointment. On the contrary, we appreciate that you are responsible to yourself, our piercers and your piercing.

Piercing corselet is most often placed on the naked back, but it can also decorate the clevege or arms. Pain during conducting this procedure is not drastic and to be truly original is worth the little pain.

Best looking corselets are the ones with 6-10 rings.

The ideal time to get your piercing corselet is just a few hours before event. Please, come to our studio dressed in the dress you’re planning to wear on the event.

It is best to remove the corselet on the same day or on day after at least. Count on it and plan the appointments in advance with us.

It takes about an hour to create the piercing corselet (including accurate measurement of the application site). Because corselets are most often applied in the afternoon where we are really busy in Hell, it is best to arrange appointment in advance. You can even call a month in advance to make sure that we will have enough time.

Bring your own corselet ribbon matching with your dress. Ribbon width should not exceed 1 cm to fit in the piercing ring. Bring the ribbon in sufficient length and preferably longer than too short. There is nothing easier to shorten it to optimal lenght after your corselet is done.

You do not have to worry about scarring after removing the piercing rings. There are only almost imperceptible dots remaining, which often disappear completely after half a year.

Corselet is (like piercing) an intervention in the body, dirt and bacteria could get in. Keep this in your mind and adapt your behavior to this fact. Getting dead drunk is not a good idea.

The price of the piercing corselet is 300 CZK plus refundable deposit of 100 CZK for every single borrowed piercing ring.
