Rinse mouth 2 times a day with diluted alcohol-free mouthwash or saline. How to mix saline solution is described on the page.
Brush your teeth 2 times a day.
The tongue swells a lot during the first 24 hours. The swelling begins to subside after 3 days, and in about a week the tongue is normal again.
To relieve the swelling of your tongue, rinse your mouth with cold water and put an extra pillow under your head while sleeping, to keep it higher than your heart.
Do not strain your tongue unnecessarily and do not play with the piercings in your mouth.
The first days after the piercing, eat a mild and not too spicy diet. Always rinse your mouth with clean water after eating.
Do not smoke, or at least limit smoking. The more you smoke, the longer the piercing will heal. Rinse your mouth after smoking.
Do not drink alcohol. It causes more swelling.
Until the piercing is completely healed, do not drink with others from shared bottles and jars.
To shorten the jewelry in the tongue, make an appointment 14 days after the implementation. With tongue piercings, the timely shortening of the jewelry is really important!
