The traveler, photographer, but especially tattoo artist and the latest member of the Hell tattoo team will take care of your beautification from January. Anastazia is a nice redhead who got from film documentaries to a tattoo machine by drawing one picture.
For most people you are the new face. Could you tell us, how did you get to tattooing?
I have been drawing and painting since I was a child, I have always been inspired by nature. I got into tattooing in 2012. I uploaded one of my pictures to Facebook and I received a few people who wanted a tattoo design from me. At that time, I completed my documentary studies and was looking for what to do next.
I drew tattoo designs for two years, but it was tattooed by professional tattoo artists. Thanks to that, I watched how tattoos are done correctly.
How long did it take until you started to tattoo your designs onto people by yourself?
I knew from the beginning that I wanted to tattoo my designs for people by myself. I made my first tattoo in 2014. In Ukraine, I worked with a lot of tattoo artists but I saw the mistakes and changes they made from the original design. t was important for me that the first picture I tattooed was well done, so I didn’t underestimate the preparation. I also moved to Prague that year, so I could no longer work with tattooists I knew.
Why did you pick Prague?
I was in Prague for the first time when I was twelve. I liked it a lot then and I wanted to live here since my first visit. Prague has a lot of beautiful sights, but also friendly people. In Ukraine, a tattooed person can outrage someone on the street, but here people don’t care so much, there are more tattooed people.
How would you describe your tattoo style? Does a definition even exist for you already, or you still didn’t find your style?
I like to tattoo nature and colors. Customers want my own designs, so it will probably be my style. I enjoy nordic mythology, so a lot of the designs are inspired by that. I also like to tattoo magical patterns, but for aesthetics, not as magical tattoos (laughs).
Where would you like to expand your art style?
Definitely dotwork and neo-traditional. I enjoy it… to draw as well as to tattoo.
Tattoo opened your gates to the world, which places did you visit?
I had a guestspot in the studios in Russia, Germany and Ukraine. I also participated in my first tattoo competition in Jaroměř this summer. There I placed fourth in the color category. It was a great experience for me, I like to go to other events as well.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy to ride longboard. When I can, I travel. I probably enjoy traveling the most. Now I was in London, among other things. I also take a lot of photos, I take the camera with me wherever I go. And when I’m home, I play with my cat.
The person who wants to tattoo something colourful with a nature theme will make you the happiest. When can we look forward to seeing you in Hell?
People can book appointments at the reception now. I’ll start tattooing on the eighth of January.
